Looking for something meaningful to do with your baby or toddler in Portland? Beech Street Parenting offers small, welcoming, parent-child play groups in Northeast Portland for families with infants and toddlers, from the earliest months through age three.

Inspired by the RIE® approach to respectful parenting, our playgroups offer a unique opportunity to slow down, observe your child's development, and connect with other parents navigating the same stages of early childhood.

Each weekly playgroup lasts an hour and a half. Parents gather in a circle in our light-filled, plant-filled playroom, a thoughtfully prepared space where babies and toddlers are free to move, explore, and play at their own pace. While the children investigate their surroundings and one another, a facilitator guides conversation with a weekly check-in question, creating a supportive space to share the joys, challenges, and questions of raising young children. Part parent support group, part child development class, and part opportunity to simply be together, our play groups invite parents to learn through observation, conversation, and community.
