This is a six-week play group cohort facilitated by Courtney Dern (of Beech Street Parenting).
Classes are an hour and a half long and will take place at the Beech Street Parenting play studio (6017 NE Sandy) on the following days:
1) Thursday, November 6, 2025
2) Thursday, November 13, 2025
3) Thursday, November 20, 2025
SKIP WEEK: Thursday, November 27, 2025 — Thanksgiving week (no class)
4) Thursday, December 4, 2025
5) Thursday, December 11, 2025
6) Thursday, December 18, 2025
It is absolutely okay if you can’t make it to all of the sessions or need to arrive late or leave early — we totally understand.
These play groups are RIE-inspired spaces for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers to connect, observe, and grow — together.
Each session begins with an optional adult check-in, followed by a period of quiet observation while children explore safe, open-ended, developmentally appropriate play objects. Caregivers remain present and available, stepping in only to meet a child’s needs for safety, nourishment, or emotional refueling.
The pace is intentionally slow and spacious. Toddler groups include a communal snack of bananas and water.
